I was down in Dallas last week attending a Tufin Securetrack training session. I have to say I was really impressed with the capabilities of this tool. I always liked the idea of what Firemon was trying to accomplish, but never saw it perform very well (if at all) in a production environment.

Think of Tufin Securetrack as an Eventia Reporter on mega steroids. Every auditor should be using this tool for firewall log analysis. This thing is very very cool. It also supports non-Check Point products: Cisco, Juniper, f5, Blue Coat, and Fortinet.

So does it work? Of course it works in the lab 🙂 Seriously though, I have a Fortune 25 account that is using it, as well as one of the largest privately held companies in the world. While in Dallas I met other Tufin customers from some of the largest Check Point accounts in the country, including two major ISP/MSPs (you would instantly recognize them). They all had glowing reviews of the product, and could vouch for its stability and effectiveness.

I am hoping to get a Tufin demo appliance in the next few weeks. I will post more detailed info as I get it.

What about SmartWorkflow. Can we compare Smartworkflow with Tuffin?

They also have a Workflow product which is again like Check Point’s workflow on steroids. I never did get the Tufin demo unit (from a reseller) so unfortunately I was not able to follow-up on this post.

I have implemented Tufin SecureTrack and SecureChange and from my technical point of view i have to admit, this filled a huge gap in the market and comparing it’s tools with CheckPoint – it’s an absolute winner.

What version are you using? Also, was wondering if you looked at their new Workflow product?
